30 July - Problem Sums (Analysing Parts and Whole)

** Remember to draw models for both questions.

4) A florist sold 24 red roses and twice as many pink roses on Saturday. She sold 36 pink roses and half as many red roses on Sunday. How many roses did the florist sell altogether over the weekend?

5) A piece of dough weighs 1.5kg. One third of it is saved for future use. The rest of it is used to make 20 equal pieces of pancakes. How much does each piece of pancake weigh?
